The exhibition debuts from March 2-4, 2025, after 28 editions alongside Vinitaly
Verona, October 20, 2024. Sol2Expo – a full olive experience, the international olive oil exhibition, is set to make its independent debut from March 2 to 4, 2025, after 28 editions held concurrently with Vinitaly.
The new Veronafiere format stands out for an expanded exhibition offering that encompasses not only olive oil but also technologies, processing equipment, and cosmetics, enriched with a product range designed to meet the needs of both B2B and B2C audiences — with the opening day open to the public — and aimed at strengthening and expanding its positioning, including commercially, in an international context.
One of the main innovations will be the focus on olive oil by-products. Industry studies show that only 15% of an olive’s weight is commercially utilized, while the remainder becomes waste material. However, olive leaves, pomace, and vegetation water represent a growing business opportunity due to their valuable properties, particularly sought after in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics sectors.
Sol2Expo addresses these market needs by introducing new product categories derived from the olive oil supply chain — such as special oils for HoReCa, nutritional oils, cosmetic and wellness products, food products for HoReCa and premium HoReCa, and artisanal extra virgin olive oils — as well as advanced production and packaging technologies, including an outdoor area dedicated to machinery.
With over 400 olive cultivars unique in the world, Italy represents an invaluable resource for olive oil production, and Sol2Expo aims to enhance this heritage, providing a benchmark platform for the excellence of extra virgin olive oil and territory-linked food products.
