Olevio was born in Salento from the idea of bringing the bond with the land and olive trees back to the center.
Its founder, Francesco Melcarne, with a background in Economics and International Marketing, left his managerial career during the pandemic to reinterpret his family’s tradition with a creative, contemporary approach as an artisan and designer. He transforms olive wood into watches, bags, belts, jewelry, and unique accessories, combining it with cork, marble, and steel.
The workshop in Gagliano del Capo handcrafts every piece; the passion for olive wood intertwines with the family business: after the Xylella crisis, his brother replanted resistant varieties, ensuring a new production cycle and rooting the Olevio project in a context of sustainability, craftsmanship, and conscious design.
