Rafael Nadal, the great tennis champion, continues to pay close attention to his health. He not only trains in the gym several times a week but also follows a specific diet in which extra virgin olive oil is never missing.

 

Nadal includes this key ingredient in his diet at different times of the day, as he explained in an interview with Guía Evooleum: “I always try to consume olives or extra virgin olive oil wherever I am. Extra virgin olive oil is a fundamental food for me. Every morning I have breakfast with toast and olive oil, while at lunch and dinner I always add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to salad or fish.”

 

Since he also knows a lot about cooking, he insisted that olive oil can never be missing from any of his dishes. When he was still a professional tennis player, it was “an integral part of my diet and my way of eating.” He added that combining a balanced diet with physical activity helps you feel better and become a better person.
