Extra virgin olive oil as a vector of health and beauty at the 2025 Congress of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SIME). In May, the “Longevity Ice Cream” line was presented, a collection of ice creams created by the artisanal gelato school Ateneo del Gelato Italiano, inspired by the congress theme “Healthspan versus Lifespan”, which also explores superfoods and anti-aging ingredients used in skincare to counteract aging.
The star ingredient is extra virgin olive oil, featured in the creations of master gelato maker Vittorio Manassei from Gelateria dei Gracchi in Rome. The capsule collection is made up of many healthy ingredients that, together with extra virgin olive oil, create masterpieces of taste and well-being.
The line includes Gold Dream, a sorbet with Sicilian avocado, citrus, ginger, and Tonda Iblea oil from the farm Cinque Colli; Red Passion, with strawberry, basil, and Caninese oil from the Tuscia region, provided by the farm Bianchini; Green Energy, made with matcha, lime, goji, honey, and Coratina oil from Frantoio Muraglia; and finally White Love, gelato made with buffalo milk from the Salerno-based San Lorenzo dairy, almond, and Itrana oil, a cultivar typical of the province of Latina, from the farm Lucia Iannotta.
